Mr. Richard J. Hunt CBE FCILT, President, CLT International, United Kingdom
Mr. Richard Hunt became President in May 2007. He has been actively involved in the Institute for over 17 years both in the UK as a previous President and internationally as a Vice President.
Richard was Chief Executive of Exel Logistics Europe before its recent mergers (now DHL) and more recently CEO of the aviation division of Go Ahead Plc. He has recently been involved in a start up with OmPrompt Ltd. a business in the supply chain technology sector. He has specialized in logistics but has also had senior appointments in the aviation and brewing sectors. He initially trained as an airline pilot.
He has been a non executive with the UK Highways Agency, is an advisor to the MOD and a non executive Director of Business Direct Plc. He is currently involved in business coaching and mentoring.
He was appointed CBE in 2004 for services to logistics and transport. |

Mr. Anthony Siu-Wing Lau, President, CILT Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Mr. Anthony Siu-Wing Lau is the founding shareholder and Executive Chairman of BALtrans Holdings Limited, a public company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with an expanding global network of more than 58 offices across Asia, EMEA and North America. Mr. Lau had served as the Chairman of Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding Agents Limited and the Chairman of the Airfreight Committee of Hong Kong Shippers' Council from 1998 to 2000 and as an Advisory Board Member of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department from 1999 to 2005. Since December 2001, he has served as a Council Member of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council. Mr. Lau was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award of the first Logistics Award in 2005. He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree and is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Directors UK and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. |

Mr. Jack Chak Kwong So Chairman , Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Former President, CILT International, Hong Kong
Mr. Jack Chak Kwon So Chak Kwong, assumed the Chairmanship of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) on 1 October 2007.
Mr. So began his career with the Hong Kong Government and joined the private sector in 1978. He served as Executive Director of the TDC from 1985 to 1992. He was Chairman and Chief Executive of the Mass Transit Railway Corporation Limited from 1995 to 2003. He then became Deputy Chairman and Group Managing Director of PCCW from 2003 to 2007.
Effective 2 January 2008, Mr. So is the Vice Chairman of Credit-Suisse (Greater China). He is an advisor to the China Netcom Group, and non-executive Director of American International Assurance Company Limited and Cathay Pacific Airways Limited.
Mr. So is also Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Development Council and Member of the Commission of Strategic Development. Since 2008, Mr. So was appointed Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and he sits on the International Business Leader Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing. |

Mr. Stanley Hon-Chung Hui Chief Executive Officer, Airport Authority Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Mr. Stanley Hong Chung Hui's career began in 1975 with Cathay Pacific Airways, where he held a wide range of management positions both in Hong Kong and overseas. For more than nine years from 1997, Mr Hui was the CEO of Dragonair. Under his leadership, Dragonair grew rapidly from 10 to 38 aircraft and tripled its revenue by 2005. The airline also launched all-cargo operation in 2000. From 1994 to 1997, he was Chief Operating Officer of the all-cargo airline AHK Air Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was the Chief Representative of John Swire & Sons (China), based in Beijing. Between 1990 and 1992, Mr Hui was General Manager, Planning and International Affairs, at Dragonair. Mr Hui was closely involved with the development of air services between Hong Kong and Mainland China from 1980s, an experience that carries through to his capacity as the CEO of Dragonair and now as the CEO of Airport Authority Hong Kong.
Mr Hui is also active in serving the community. He is a member of the Hong Kong SAR Government's Aviation Development Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Construction Industry Council. He is also the member of General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Mr Hui also serves as the Chairman of the Vetting Committee of the Professional Services Development Assistance Scheme and the Chinese Cuisine Training Institute Training Board. He is a member of the Vocational Training Council and a member of the Labour Advisory Board. In March 2008, Mr Hui was appointed as the member of the Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council and, a member of Shenzhen Committee of the People's Political Consultation Conference of China. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in July 2006 by the Chief Executive of HKSAR.
He is married with two sons. |

Prof. Alan Waller, Vice-President of Solving International, UK
Alan G Waller is Vice-President for Supply Chain Innovation at the International Consultancy Solving International. He is also Visiting Professor in International Supply Chain Management at Cranfield Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Cranfield School of Management, President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and Chairman of the European Logistics Users Providers and Enablers Group (ELUPEG).
In 1998 he was awarded the Sir Robert Lawrence Gold Medal for his contribution to logistics. In 2006 he was awarded an OBE for his services to Logistics.
Alan speaks at many events particularly across Europe but also in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, China, Singapore, Japan and the Middle East, and has numerous publications in supply chain, logistics and related subjects.
Alan's work focuses on supply chain strategic development and implementation, and in addition to his consultancy work in all parts of the world he also facilitates Board workshops around the strategic contribution of supply chain to business growth and cost-effective performance. |

Mr. Charles de Trenck, Ex-Head of Asia Regional Transport at Citigroup Investment Research, Hong Kong
Charles de Trenck was Ex-Head of Asia Regional Transport at Citigroup Investment Research until his departure in February 2008.
Core research projects since the mid-90s have focused on containerized trade flows, with special attention to container ports and container liner growth challenges. Charles is also a generalist in dry bulk and tanker research. In the mid-90s Charles covered mostly China conglomerates, H Shares and transport. By the late 90's he spent more time on container port projects, including the privatization of Surabaya port. During 2000-03 Charles also developed responsibilities for US shipping, mainly tankers, before returning to full time Asia coverage by 2004.
Mr. de Trenck joined Salomon Smith Barney in June 1999 from CSFB. His experience includes 15 years in Asia, China and US transport research. He holds two Master's degrees and a BSc in Chinese and Asian Studies from Georgetown University. |

Mr. Guy Sellier, Vice President, China Business Development, Alstom Transport Asia Pacific, PR China
Mr. Guy Sellier is Vice President of Alstom Transport Asia Pacific, in charge of Business Development in China.
Prior to his present position Guy SELLIER was working at Alcatel and occupied various function including: Vice President for Asia Pacific, Global Strategy Director in charge of developing business strategy worldwide for the division in charge of Signaling solutions. He also was Director of the Network Services Division in Alcatel Asia Pacific Region, and Director of Project and Operations Management in Alcatel China. Meanwhile he was also General Manager of ATACS, an Alcatel joint venture with the Chinese Ministry of Railways.
Mr. Sellier strongly contributed to the development of Chinese cities and signed cooperation and commercial contracts with many Chinese municipalities like: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Hong KongˇK.
Prior to this, he had a long sales and marketing experience in many other Asian countries (including India, Korea, Sri Lanka and Myanmar) and held various positions in Project Management, Network design and R&D.
A French citizen, Guy Sellier holds a M.Sc of the "Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble" (INPG, France) in Electronics Engineering. He also earned his MBA from the famous INSEAD business school.
Among other professional qualifications, Mr. Sellier is a Delegate of UITP (International Union of Public Transport); he is a Member of the Institute of Railways Signaling Engineers (IRSE); he is a visiting Professor of China Business Management at HEC-EurAsia center (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, France).
Mr. Sellier is able to speak several languages including French, English, Chinese, German and Spanish. |

Prof. Hani S. Mahmassani, Northwestern University, USA
Dr. Hani S. Mahmassani holds the William A. Patterson Distinguished Chair in Transportation at Northwestern University, with joint appointments in the McCormick School of Engineering and the Kellogg School of Management. He was previously the Charles Irish Sr. Chaired Professor and Director of the Maryland Transportation Initiative at the University of Maryland, after 20 years on the faculty at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his PhD from MIT and MS from Purdue.
Professor Mahmassani specializes in multimodal transportation systems analysis, planning and operations, dynamic network modeling and optimization, intelligent transportation systems, system vulnerability and security applications, and freight systems analysis. He has served as Principal Investigator on over 110 research projects funded by national and international agencies, and published over 250 articles in journals and conference proceedings.
Dr. Mahmassani is Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Science, and Associate Editor of Transportation Research C (Emerging Technologies), and the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. He is a past president of the Transportation Science Section of INFORMS, and serves on several NAS and NRC committees and panels. He serves as evaluator and advisor to various university research and academic entities, national research institutes, government research programs, and corporate R&D units; he is a consultant to several companies and government agencies. |

Dr. James Jixian Wang, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Dr. James Jixian Wang is associate professor at Department of Geography, the University of Hong Kong. Born in Beijing, he received his Bachelor in Economics from the People's University of China, M.Phil. from the University of Hong Kong, and Ph.D. from University of Toronto. Currently he is council member of Hong Kong Society for Transport Studies, and member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (HK). His research area is Transport Geography, with special interests in port development and port-city relations. He has published widely in many internationally refereed journals and is editorial board member of Journal of Transport Geography . He is chef editor of Ports, Cities, and Global Supply Chains published by Ashgate in 2007. As a portcity specialist, Dr Wang has participated in port-city planning projects and strategic studies for more than 25 Chinese and other Asian port cities and regions. |

Mr. Jason Chi-Wei Yang, Managing Director, AgriWorlds Inc., Taipei
Mr. (Jason) Chi-Wei Yang received his M.Sc. from Taiwan National Chung Hsing University, major in influential statistics & experimental design at the Researching Institute of Agronomy and Crop Science in 1972. By coincidence he has gone into air charter business and creating sea-air transport system on the western sphere for 10 years before switching over to sea-land distribution of containerized cargo on the European market as well as harmonized the standards of Far East - Europe road distribution tariff on 1992 which makes INCOTERMS practical for the international trade.
Mr. Yang had been appointed by SPK Corporation (giant of Japanese automobile parts) as purchasing agent in Taiwan (1976~2000), engaged in Trans-Siberian Intermodal Service (1982~1987), participated the logistics integration for Taiwan Ford company on MONDEO car assembly (1996), elected to the Chairman seat of Taiwan Forwarders Association (1998~1999) , Executive Director of Taiwan Association of Logistics Management (1999~), and acting as Adviser to the Taiwan Shippers' Council (1999~), senior instructor of International Trading Institute in TAITRA (1987.~) and General Convener for the Agriculture Reborn Committee of President Office - Taiwan (2003~2004).
Personally, Mr. Yang has extensively involved in the global logistics operations and supply-chain management (including agri-produce) for over than 35 years experience with expertise, and he is currently the managing director of Hann's Air Freight and Benkar Cos. in Hong Kong, and AgriWorlds and LogisGiant Cos. in Taiwan. |

Mr. Jean Chang, Executive Vice President - Greater China & North Asia, Air Asia
Jean Change Joined AirAsia from China National Aviation Corporation (CNAC), the holding company of Air China and Dragonair in addition to having served a number of aviation related firms in China and Hong Kong. Prior to joining AirAsia, Jean had served on the Board and Executive Committee of many prestigious companies and trade bodies such as LSG Skychef, Hong Kong Aircargo Terminal Ltd, China Aircraft services Ltd, CAAC Holidays, Aviation Fuel Service Company, China Airport Investment Fund and the Board of Airlines Representative.
Jean has an in depth knowledge of the airline and aviation related industry, both within and outside of China. He has over 20 years of experience in aircraft sales and leasing, airport privatisation and master planning, aviation portfolio investment and management. Jean also knows the tourism industry intimately, having served as chairman of CCAC holidays (once a unit of the all-embracing CAAC). As AirAsia's Executive Vice President - Greater China & North Asia, Jean spearheads AirAsia's operations in these regions. |

Mr. Kelvin Leung Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific DHL Global Forwarding, Hong Kong
Kelvin Leung is Chief Operating Officer of DHL Global Forwarding for Asia Pacific and is responsible for managing and directing the business units activities in the region, in collaboration with the sub-regional and functional leaders. Prior to this appointment, he was Vice President of DHL Global Forwarding for Hong Kong, South China and Macau.
Mr. Leung joined Danzas AEI, now known as DHL Global Forwarding, in 2002 as Managing Director for Hong Kong, South China and Macau. In 2004, he became Vice President of South East Pacific Region for DHL Danzas Air & Ocean. From 2002 to 2005, Mr Leung played an instrumental role in making the company the market leader and more than doubling the size of the business.
Prior to joining Danzas AEI, Mr Leung started his career with Cathay Pacific Airways in 1989. For the next twelve years, he held several managerial positions including his final position as Manager of Global Network Revenue Operations.
Mr Leung is a distinguished member of Hong Kong's business industry holding a number of important positions in both the private and public sectors. He was appointed by the Chief Executive of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to the Advisory Committee on Admission of Quality Migrants and Professionals. Mr. Leung is also Committee Member of Aviation Development Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government
Mr Leung graduated from the University of Cambridge, Magdalene College, with a Masters in General Engineering Science. He is member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong. |

Mr. Madan B. Regmi, Economic Affairs Officer, Transport and Tourism Division of United Nations, Thailand
Mr. Madan Regmi, a Civil Engineer that holds a Master Degree in Construction Management from Loughborough University, UK and MBA from Webster University, has over 20 years of experience in planning, development and implementation of transport infrastructure projects in Asia.
He joined the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) as an Economic Affairs Officer, in-charge of highway sector activities, in the Transport and Tourism Division in 2000.
Prior to joining UNESCAP, Mr. Regmi had worked in the Department of Roads, Government of Nepal where he held a number of positions in planning, designing and construction of highways. He has been associated with domestic and international consultants working on various projects financed by major bilateral and international institutions such as Asian Development Bank, World Bank, DFID, KfW, JICA etc. |

Mr. Nick Gowlland a British national, holds a first class honours degree from Bristol University in the UK, and is a qualified chartered accountant. He has nearly 15 years' worth of extensive and varied corporate finance advisory experience in the UK, Europe and Asia. Working at Rothschild in London since 2000, and based in Hong Kong since nearly 2003, Nick is responsible for both origination and execution of Rothschild's mandates in the Transport & Logistics sector in Asia, specializing particularly in cross-border advisory mandates. |

Dr. Timothy D. Hau, Associate Professor, School of Economics and Finance, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Timothy D. Hau obtained his Bachelor's degree from Stanford University and Master's and Ph.D. degrees in economics from the University of California at Berkeley. Tim was an assistant professor of Economics at the University of California at Davis before joining the University of Hong Kong. His single-authored papers have appeared in journals such as Economica, Economics Letters, the Journal of Transport Economics and Policy, Built Environment, Transportation Research and Transportmetrica. In 1990, Tim was invited by the World Bank to work as an economist in its Transport Division, Infrastructure and Urban Development Department in Washington D.C. As a World Bank official, Tim participated in several missions to China, Korea, India and Chile. His World Bank papers on the theory and technologies of road use charging have been widely circulated and cited in both the academic and professional literature. While at the World Bank, he also worked in the Public Economics Division of the Policy Research Department until 1994, when he resumed his teaching duties at HKU.
As an associate professor of Economics at the School of Economics and Finance, he served on the Council of the Chartered Institute of Transport in Hong Kong and helped found the Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies. He has provided transport policy advice to the Asian Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, National Research Council of the U.S. Academy of Sciences as well as the Central Policy Unit, the Environment, Transport and Works Branch and the Sustainable Development Unit of the Hong Kong Government. |
